Kalpulli Ketzal Coatlicue Aztec Dancers
The Kalpulli Ketzal Coatlicue (“Precious Mother Earth”) is a Kalpulli (“learning community”) of Indigenous people joined by the desire to learn, share and live the tradition of Aztec dance. Kalpulli Ketzal Coatlicue is proudly performing as a COMPAS artist.

Enjoy a familiar variety of music provided by artists from Minnesota Opera as they present everything from traditional operatic arias and classic Neapolitan songs to musical theatre favorites.

Kairos Alive! Intergenerational Dance Hall
Intergenerational Dance Hall™! Come join Kairos Alive! for a free all ages and abilities dance party! Featuring the live music of The Carluster Crumplebee Orchestra, it’s sure to be a swingin’ time!
5:00 – 6:00 PM:
Rooted in Bharatanatyam, the classical dance of South India, Ragamala Dance Company creates original works that convey a sense of reverence, of mystery, of universal celebration. This afternoon, we feature students from the Ragamala School, the educational arm of this nationally recognized performing group.
6:30 – 8:00 PM:
MacPhail Jazz Quartet + Dance Enthusiast Christopher Yaeger
Live jazz and swing music accompanied by dancing. Featuring Greg Keel on sax, Reid Kennedy on drums, Karen Pieper on piano, and Tom Pieper on bass.
Christopher Yaeger has a contagious love for dance and movement. He enjoys dancing the polka, the jitterbug, a line dance, or a waltz. Ask him to dance! He always has safe and simple steps that will get the party jumpin’—so join in!

Lyngblomsten partners with MacPhail Center for Music to bring weekly music classes to the Lyngblomsten campus and The Gathering (www.lyngblomsten.org/TheGathering) sites. Founded in 1907, MacPhail provides music education to over 14,500 students of all ages and abilities each year with classes and lessons taking place at many sites across the metro and through distance learning.

Summer Youth Players
Lakeshore Players offers summer camps for students in grades 2-12. The older campers in grades 6-12 create the script, help with the costumes and set, and learn acting technique to help in their performance. In 2017, the SYP wrote and produced their own version of Peter Pan. The younger campers in grades 2-5, the SYP Jr. camp, produced Cinderella KIDS. They will present selected scenes and songs from these shows.

Appropriate for any age, Theater Games are a great way to break the ice at any gathering. Whether it’s learning everyone’s name or something more physical to get up and moving, we can provide a variety of fun interactive games for any sized group.

A Selection of 10 Minute Plays
For 13 years, Lakeshore Players has held a 10-Minute Play Festival and it has become one of our most popular events. Each year, our play writing contest attracts entries from around the world as both novice and published writers enter new works. Each year we receive more than 300 entries. The ten best plays are selected for their world premieres. We will present some of our favorite selections from over the years.
5:00 – 6:00 PM:
The art of storytelling goes back centuries. Even before there was writing, we passed down stories from generation to generation orally. In this age of technology, we are lucky to have people who still rely on this method of passing on history to others. Lakeshore Players brings in a professional storyteller to create a story with the people in the audience and incorporate them into the story.

Lakeshore Radio Players
The Lakeshore Radio Players put on a fun, live, show bringing back the Golden Age of Radio. With classic skits from hit shows such as The Bickersons, The Jack Benny Show, The Shadow, Abbott and Costello, plus musical interludes and original ads, you are in for an old-timey treat!
