Northern Clay Center
Project: Personalized Clay Ornaments
Tickets: 8
Northern Clay Center (NCC) proudly presents the Family Creation Station. All ages and abilities are welcome to participate in this activity. Get in touch with your inner artist as you create, decorate, and personalize a clay ornament. NCC teaching artists will help you create a one-of-a-kind piece of ceramic art. Grab your friends and family, along with your creative spirit, and learn to make and decorate in clay!
Projects will be brought back to NCC for firing and participants will pick-up their fired projects three to four weeks after the event at Lyngblomsten. Participants will be given a pickup slip with all of the pertinent information.

Polymer Clay Guild of Minnesota

Project: Personalized Polymer Pins & Magnets

Join Polymer Clay teaching artists Deb George and Lynn Vinge to make your own personalized polymer pin or magnet. Using vibrant colors of polymer clay, you will learn how to make canes, sculpt, shape, carve and manipulate this amazing medium to create your own wearable art or magnet.

Gardeners, nature lovers, and artists of all ages will enjoy this creative, fun, and inventive process. Create beautiful images of plants and flowers under the guidance of teaching artists Michèle Coppin and Holly Nelson. Have fun and experience turning colorful liquid watercolors into organic, inventive shapes inspired by nature. Backgrounds and details can be added with a brush.

Project: Dream Weaving Key Chain

Weave a fun and festive key chain/clip using colorful strips of cloth, fibers, and yarn. The 3-inch circle loom is pre-warped and ready for your personal touches. Palette, pattern, and texture come alive as you weave the dream!

Monet for a Day: Mini Canvas Art

Celebrate summer as you create a beach scene with colorful waves and flip flops! Arts instructor Jan Gunderson will give you step-by-step painting instructions to create your own one-of-a kind canvas masterpiece. Become Monet for a Day when you put brush to canvas at this Make-&-Take Art Booth.

Make someone’s day by creating a flower bouquet to keep, or that can be gifted that will be given to a Lyngblomsten resident or tenant. Staff from Hermes Floral will be on hand to help you create a masterpiece!

Stepping Together Community Art Project

Project: Set of Mosaic Stepping Stones

Stop by the Lyngblomsten Booth and help create a community art piece that will be displayed on campus. Stepping Together will be a set of mosaic stepping stones, each mosaic highlighting a different aspect of Lyngblomsten. Artist Anne Krocak will create the mosaics with assistance from festivalgoers. Chat with Lyngblomsten staff about the mosaic themes and what they mean to you.
