Project: Clay Garden Plaque
Announcement (updated 9/10/18):
- Northern Clay tiles. If you or someone you know made a clay tile at the Northern Clay Make-and-Take booth, you can pick up the finished piece. The tiles are on a wooden table near the Community Services offices (located on the opposite side of the Community Room, lower level). If you have questions, please contact Deb Hannasch at (651) 632-5330.
Northern Clay Center (NCC) proudly presents the Family Creation Station. All ages and abilities are welcome to participate in this activity. Get in touch with your inner artist as you create and decorate a clay garden plaque with embellishments of your choice. NCC teaching artists will help you create a one-of-a-kind piece of ceramic art. Grab your friends and family, along with your creative spirit, and learn to make and decorate in clay!
Projects will be brought back to NCC for firing and participants will pick-up their fired projects three weeks after the event at Lyngblomsten. Participants will be given a pickup slip with all of the pertinent information.
Project: Personalized Polymer Clay Pens

Project: Garden Quotes
Join local poet Zoë Bird from APP-MN at this garden-inspired word play and creation station. Stop in to get inspiration that will activate all the senses and compose text to stamp on your hand-decorated clay tile. Zoë will help you design your very own garden quote that you can use at the Northern Clay Center booth to create your one-of-a-kind garden plaque. Celebrate the abundance of summer by making beautiful garden tiles with Northern Clay Center and the Alzheimer’s Poetry Project MN!
